How the woman became the warrior

As much as it is easy to judge a woman, sometimes we need to understand. Every little part of our story determines who we are today. Every part of who we were yesterday determines what path we walk today. Yet, we are examined like tiny specimens. Why does she act a certain way? Speak a certain way? Why does she swear? Why does she live her life in a certain manner?

Usually the people that judge and criticise have hearts and homes that are dirtier than most. Usually they have mountains of their own problems that need addressing.

Every day i pray that this heart remains pure. That God will always allow me to see the parts of people that can still be saved. That God will always allow me to see the parts of myself that can still be improved.

There are a thousand tiny pieces of me scattered in the past. Pieces i was forced to shed and pieces i let go of because they hurt me. There are a thousand dreams i once believed in. A thousand wishes i made to God. There are hundreds of tiny disappointments that i mourned for and learned that i needed to accept. They were simply not part of the destiny that God had ordained for me.

But i wonder if i gathered them together, walked back down that downtrodden path, would these pieces tell my story?

Each one would be a chapter of a book. Some chapters would be powerful tales of growth. Some would be filled with the sorrow of loss. Any person who picked it up would then understand….. this is how this woman became a warrior.

Every single person we encounter has a story. A book. A chapter. We dont always have time to sit and read it word for word, but we can try to understand why, how, what made them this way. We can try and love without condition. We can try and live without judgement. We can try to be kind, regardless. But above all, we should work on perfecting our own characters before we criticise the characters of others.
