Our Services & Programs

Warrior Women support network is driven by survivors of family violence who are passionate about assisting women and children to safety and a life where they are empowered and independent. The services provided are confidentially based and culturally appropriate catering to the needs of our clients.

We offer the following support services for families:

  • Counselling and family support for families affected by domestic and family violence and who are experiencing mental health issues
  • Financial assistance to women facing financial hardship
  • Assistance finding emergency or long term accommodation for women facing homelessness as a result of DV
  • Referrals, provision of workshops and other initiatives with the aim of capacity/skill building, support in career development and pre-vocational support
  • Assistance and advocating for the client with dealing with government agencies such as Centrelink, Child support system and community housing departments
  • Outreach service delivery when required, so that the women are supported in an environment that they feel safe and comfortable in
  • Support groups, trauma support and friendship circles for women needing the extra support and wanting to break out of their social isolation when experiencing domestic violence
  • Art and writing therapy programs run by dynamic and empathetic psychologist

We offer the following School and Community based programs:

  • Love bites: Based on healthy relationships and consent for boys and girls in year 7 to year 12
  • Warrior People: A school based program run for boys and girls based on life skills, self esteem, empowering youth and the importance of education and volunteering.
  • Mental Health first aid: We can provide training within your school or workplace so each employee can be qualified in providing mental health first aid within the school or workplace. Qualification is given through mental health first aid Australia and sessions can be run online or in person.
  • Tuning into teens parenting workshops: These sessions will be run online. Tuning into teens is a weekly program run on zoom or in person
  • Drug and substance awareness workshops: These programs run online or in person for parents, school groups or community group
